What is Friction Stir Welding?

Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a clean, solid-state welding process for joining metals. Perfect for lightweight, high-performance designs. It works well with all aluminium alloys as well as copper, steel, titanium and dissimilar metals.


Unlike traditional welding, FSW doesn’t melt the material. Instead, a rotating tool stirs the metals together, producing strong, low-distortion joints with no porosity or cracking.
